NBLC 2022 Playoff Team Greatest Hits

After some particularly special sights in the regular season, every NBL Canada player dialed it up when the playoffs arrived. The results were some of the best post-season performances yet seen in the NBLC and while just singling out five for the All-Playoff team was hard, in the end there were a quintet of outstanding individuals that made the post-season what it was.

Here are the five named to the NBLC's 2022 Playoff Team, along with their playoff stat and their very best moment from throughout this year's playoffs.

Chris Jones

London Lightning, 19.5ppg, 5.2rpg

One of the league's biggest enforcers, Chris Jones was ruthless on offence for London all through 2022, pulling out all the stops in their record-setting season, capped off with a dominant run in the post-season. His finest hour was starting the finals with a spectacular 39 points in 41 minutes on 71% field shooting, leading London as they began their clean sweep of the KW Titans.

Jesse Jones

KW Titans, 22.2ppg, 7.0rpg

Jesse Jones was at his best all season during the playoffs, where he really stepped up his game and played a pivotal part for the Titans as they reached their first NBLC Finals. His post-season included a five game run where he scored in excess of 20 points, which included a playoff best performance of 25 points and 12 rebounds in game two of the finals against the Lightning.

Jeremy Harris

Sudbury Five, 26.2ppg, 11.0rpg

Though Sudbury's playoff run ended early, their brightest spark in the post-season was Harris putting up his NBLC career high as the Five attempted to turn the tide against the KW Titans. In game three he scored in double digits in two quarters to finish with 40 points in addition to 13 total rebounds. It may not have been enough to save the game, or the series, for Sudbury, but it was one of the individual showings of the entire NBLC post season.

Joel Kindred

KW Titans, 25.7ppg, 5.5rpg

The regular season MVP was equally spectacular when the Titans made their playoff push. As evidenced when, midway through a playoff push against Sudbury, he wrote himself into the team's history books. In game three Kindred put up 43 points, setting a record for biggest individual score for a single game in team history and a big part in helping the team go the furthest they have ever gone in the NBLC.

Terry Thomas

London Lightning, 20.0ppg, 11.3rpg

The icing on the cake for a career season for the veteran swingman was not only winning the championship with the Lightning, but also Finals MVP honours. Recording four double-doubles in six games he was spectacular throughout the playoffs, but probably no more so than when he poured in 28 points and 10 boards in London's OT win over the KW Titans in game two of the finals. A performance that helped London get one hand on the trophy and him a clear candidate for the last award going.
