All-NBL Canada First Team Greatest Hits

There's only room at the top for the best of the best, and the All-NBL Canada first team is no exception. Only the five very best players from the 2022 season were named to the league's first team, looking at their records and best moments from the season there can't be much argument that they don't deserve their place here.

Below are the 2022 All-NBLC First Team along with their best moment from the season:

Billy White

Windsor Express, 24GP, 20.5ppg, 10.7rpg

Billy White achieved so much in the 2022 season, adding to his status as one of the league's best players, being among the highest scorers and rebounders have earned him a fifth All-NBLC selection. He was at his most deadly on March 20th when he put up forty points on 65% shooting against the Sudbury Five, where he also registered ten rebounds and six assists on a impressive night for the Windsor stand-out.

Cameron Forte

London Lightning, 26GP, 18.1ppg, 10.0rpg

2022 was a breakout season for Cameron Forte, where his scoring ability made him an elite offensive NBLC player and a major component in London's record-setting winning season. He also became one of the few players to have broken the forty-point mark which happened on March 13th where he poured in 44 points while also finding the time to total 18 total boards, an outstanding performance in a blowout 19 point victory over the Windsor Express.

Joel Kindred

KW Titans, 31 GP, 22.2 ppg 5.2 rpg

What more is there to say about the most decorated NBLC player of the season? The MVP and MIP who was named to the All-Playoff and All-Defensive teams was spectacular throughout the season, no more so than midway through a playoff push against Sudbury, where he wrote himself into the team's history books. In game three Kindred put up 43 points, setting a record for biggest individual score for a single game in team history.

Terry Thomas

London Lightning, 27 GP, 17.9ppg, 7.3rpg

Winning his first player awards - Canadian of the Year and Finals MVP - in addition to his first NBLC title, 2022 was a watershed season in league veteran Thomas' career in Canada. Regularly contributing big numbers and one of the most consistently electrifying players seen in the season, he blew everyone else out of the water on May 1st. There he led all on the floor with 35 points and 15 rebounds on 57% shooting as the Lightning blew out their neighbours and rivals 113-99.

Tyran Walker

KW Titans, 28 GP, 4.9ppg, 7.4rpg

In a big season for defenders, Ty Walker developed massively in that category, standing out as the most outstanding player of all on the defensive glass. In a season heavy on highlights for the Titans' centre, he recorded ten blocks against the Kokomo Bobkats before registering his first NBLC career double-double in game which had one of the most exciting endings of the season.
