The Basketball Super League game of the week saw two of the league's most established teams, the KW Titans and the Sudbury Five, facing each other in an unpredictable, action-packed night at the Sudbury Community Centre. The centrepiece of high-scoring basketball league-wide throughout the week, detailed below.

It came after eventful games for both teams: the Titans lost by three points to the Montreal Toundra and Sudbury were awarded a win after the Windsor Express left the court during their match-up after disagreeing with a refereeing call. This eventful streak would continue onto Saturday night.

There was nothing to choose between teams to begin with, after being evenly matched in the first quarter Landon Kirkwood and AJ Mosby buoying Sudbury to a half time lead from three-point territory midway through the second quarter.

With Mosby unstoppable in the third, Sudbury reached a game-high lead of eleven points, but their intensity on offense completely dried up in the fourth and the Titans pounced. Sparked by Michael Bruce off the bench and following a 10-1 run, the Titans led going into the final minute, where Mosby closed the gap to just one point.

The game hung in the balance in the closing seconds and Curtis Hollis would be the hero for the visitors, holding his nerve and hitting the final four points of the game, bringing his total up to a team-high 24 for the Titans, who scored an impressive five-point win. Mosby had a game-high 28 for Sudbury in the loss, while nine others on the night finished on double digits.

This performance by Hollis followed his scoring 27 against the Montreal Toundra the night before, where Antoine Mason also scored 24 in the same contest. Mason built on this in Montreal's next game, where they welcomed the Frederick Flying Cows to the BSL with a blowout win where Mason contributed 22 points and seven assists.

Another notable player of the week was Landon Kirkwood for the Sudbury Five, who had a combined fifty points in the two games he played this week. Latin Davis also impressed with 25 off the Windsor bench against Sudbury. The top performer of the week was Sudbury's Duane Notice, who against the Express put up 32 points, one of the highest individual point totals of the season so far.
