After plenty of stops on his basketball journey, Evan Harris finally reached Sudbury, where he found himself playing a key role for his new team on his NBL Canada debut.

In 2005 Harris joined the Havard Crimson. After becoming starter sophomore year, where he was a teammate of future NBA star Jeremy Lin, he recorded career-best season averages of 10.7 points and 5.6 rebounds as a junior. After graduating Harris secured a contract with Craiova in Romania, where he registered 9.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in his first professional season.

Harris went on Illiaum in Portugal, then the German teams Herzoege Wolfenbuettel and Cuxhaven Bascats, for whom he played two seasons, averaging 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds. He split the next season between Quimper in France and Prievidza in Slovakia, before heading back to Germany to play for Gotha in the ProA.

In 2015 he moved out of Europe and signed with the Saitama Broncos in Japan, for whom he had averages of 12.1 points and 8.6 rebounds. Next up for Harris was a long stay in Norway, where he signed for the Nirandos Jets in Trondheim. On November 25th 2017 he put up a career-high 45 points in a season where he averaged a double-double, 18.7 points and 14.1 rebounds, as he made the BNLO first team at the season's end.

He was equally successful in his subsequent season with Fyllingen, with 18.5 points and 11.3 boards as the team reached the play-off quarter finals. He remained in Fyllingen the following season where he averaged 15.4 points and 9.3 rebounds before the season was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Harris signed for the Sudbury Five ahead of the 2022 season and made his NBL Canada debut on February 25th against the Windsor Express. After a quiet season start, he made his first NBLC double-double, 15 points and 13 rebounds, against the Syracuse Stallions and bettered that on April 2nd with 17 and 15 in a 110-84 win over Flint United.

Harris is one of the most experienced players in the 2022 NBL Canada season and the wealth of his playing time have made him a key contributor in the Sudbury Five's campaign in trying to capture their first league title.
