All-NBL Canada Second Team Greatest Hits

The 2022 NBL Canada season has seen some great individual performances from exciting talent who have made big names for themselves in Canada, as well as some who have announced themselves either in their league debuts or through breakout performances. Of every player who tread the NBLC boards in 2022, only ten made the two all-league teams. Below are the five on the All-NBLC second team, with their highlight moment of the season:

Chris Jones

London Lightning, 23Gp, 16.8ppg, 5.2rpg

One of the league's biggest enforcers, Chris Jones was ruthless on offence for London all through their record-setting season. Even from the start, he was a huge offensive threat, pouring in 30 points in one of his best scoring shows on the season against the Sudbury Five on March 17th.

Eric Ferguson

KW Titans, 27 Gp, 19.4 ppg, 9.4 rpg

Few players brought their A-game as often as Eric Ferguson, who scored in double digits in all but one game in 2022. There were many highlight performances from him throughout 2022 but on March 25th he scored 31 points in as many minutes against the Windsor Express, while also finding the time to grab ten rebounds and hand out seven assists

Jachai Taylor

Windsor Express, 24 Gp, 15.5 ppg 4.7 rpg

One of the best NBLC newcomers in 2022, Jachai Taylor

for Windsor and, on April 20th, he was in the zone: going off for a season-high 38 points on over three quarter shooting success and 80% from the three-point line. A leading effort in helping Windsor end a four-game losing streak where they also handed the London Lightning one of their few losses of 2022.

Jaylen Bland

Sudbury Five, 20 Gp, 23.9ppg, 7.5rpg

In his third stint with the Five, Jaylen Bland emerged as leader both in guiding the newly assembled team on the court and setting an example of the high-energy offence needed for success. He best demonstrated this by opening his season with 35 points against the Lansing Pharaohs, leading the way for Sudbury in one of their biggest wins of the season.

Jeremy Harris

Sudbury Five, 27 Gp, 26.2ppg, 11.0rpg

The NBLC newcomer of the year was one of the most dynamic and exciting additions to the NBLC and a guiding light for the Sudbury Five. He made this clear from the very start of the season: in Sudbury's first game of 2022, Harris scored 24 points and led everyone on the floor with 12 total rebounds in a head-turning and winning debut, signaling all the more there was to come.
