All-NBLC9 Third Team Greatest Hits
Of all the obligatory end of season team selections, the most prestigious is the All-NBL Canada team. These are the first five players to receive such distinction, scroll for a look at what they did to earn their spot on the All-NBLC Third Team:
Alex Campbell
Guard, Island Storm
20 GP, 20.0 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 4.3 APG
Campbell's efforts this season have seen him win just about every honour going, including his first All-NBLC selection. He scored his season-best of 36 against the Windsor Express on February 9th, but he was an all-around genius on January 2nd, when he registered 27 points and 15 rebounds for the Storm in their 111-99 win over the Halifax Hurricanes.
Montay Brandon
Guard, St. John's Edge
20 GP, 11.7 PPG, 11.6 RPG
Missing the double digit mark only six times in the season, it's no wonder why Brandon earned his All-NBLC honour in what was his first season in the league. He was at his best on January 7th, coming off the bench to post 21 points and a team-high 12 rebounds for the Edge as they took down the KW Titans by a final result of 119-115.
Cliff Clinkscales
Guard, Halifax Hurricanes
24 GP, 7.4 PPG, 10.1 APG
The only repeat honouree of the third team and ever-dependable presence for Halifax made history this season, becoming the first NBL Canada player to reach 1500 Career Regular-Season Assists.
He was most spectacular for Halifax on March 5th, where he scored 27 and dished a season-best 19 assists - one of thirteen games where he finished in double digits for assists - inspiring his team to a nineteen-point victory over the Sudbury Five.
Chris Jones
Guard, Windsor Express
15 GP, 22.3 PPG, 5.7 RPG
A powerhouse on offence for Windsor this season, Jones ended the season with the impressive statistic of finishing each game in double digits. The best of them was when he made up for a slow start against the Island Storm to put up 17 points in the second quarter. He went on to a perfect final period, making each of his shot attempts as he scored 14 to round off his season-best total of 35 in Windsor's January 17th 127-99 win.
Sam Muldrow
Forward, Windsor Express
17 GP, 14.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG
After a short absence from the NBLC, Muldrow went back to doing what he does best and playing reliable, high-scoring offence, this time for the Windsor Express.
His 2019-20 season was by two twenty-point performances, one a season best against London on January 25th on February 21st, while earlier in the season he scored 22 against Sudbury, spoiled only by the Five finishing with the four-point win.
