WINvsMON - February 10th Game Recap

The Windsor Express arrived in Moncton looking to get back to winning ways. That would come easy, though, as they were facing the Moncton Magic, who sit comfortably at the top of the Atlantic Division.

Even with a rampant start from Jeremiah Mordi, Moncton were on the back foot from the start, as Windsor, sharing the ball between them, held off their opponents and went clear by double digits by the first quarter's end.

Alex Johnson led the Express to continue this form in the second half, and even with Jason Calliste providing a spark for the Magic off their bench, the visitors still had a comfortable lead at half-time.

Moncton continued to push when the game resumed, but Windsor were still firing on all cylinders, with Johnson putting in a perfect scoring performance in the third quarter. Mordi made one last push for the Magic to re-take the lead, but with the Express still on form to the very end, it proved too much a difference to make up.

Mordi led the scoring with 33 points while Calliste had 25 off the bench for the defeated Moncton, while Johnson recorded 30 points and 11 rebounds for Windsor, who are back to winning ways after handing the Magic just their fourth loss of the season. Sam Muldrow scored 19 points and Quinnell Brown had 16 off the bench in Windsor's 116-111 defeat of the Moncton Magic.
