All-NBL Canada Third Team 2018-19
It's time to honour the best players of the 2018-19 NBL Canada season. Out of 120 players only fifteen were going to be included in the league team, and with the standard exceptionally high, it was going to be a hard call for league officials.
The first five of the fifteen best players who were named to the All-NBLC Third Team:
Mo Bolden (London Lightning)
Bolden led the Lightning in scoring (16.2 points per game) and rebounding (7.0 rebounds per game) while also recording 11 double-doubles in the season and earned a spot on the All-Defensive team.
Glen Davis (St. John's Edge)
The most high-profile player in the NBLC this season, Davis missed the start of the season but still managed to finish as the Edge’s top scorer en route to their first finals appearance.
Akeem Ellis (KW Titans)
A tireless performer for the KW Titans, Ellis led his team in scoring average and was one of their top rebounders, as well as finishing in the league’s top ten three-point shooters and rebounders
Mike Poole (Halifax Hurricanes)
Poole proved a highly dependable asset in an at times uncertain season for the Hurricanes, appearing in every game in their season and pouring in 16.9 points per game.
TJ Maston (Saint John Riptide)
Joining the Riptide in January, Maston gave them the boost they needed precisely when they needed it – just in time to help them clinch a playoff berth.
Do any of these players deserve to be in a higher team? If you think so, say so in the comments.
