NBLC Recap: April 11th
The London Lightning live to fight another day in the playoffs after a statement win in Kitchener against the KW Titans.
After an uncertain start to game three, London started to find their rhythm on offence, which included 55% field goal success, five three-pointers and 11 points off the bench from AJ Gaines on their way to leading by five at the end of the first.
The Titans kept interrupting London's scoring - most of all Akeem Ellis and Damon Lynn, who had 21 and 19 total points in the game respectively, while their bench contributed 50 points. London, though, were unfased and stayed the course with rampant offence.
Mo Bolden and Garrett Williamson both had 19 points in the contest, but Gaines was the standout with 27 points and 14 rebounds at the final bell.
London take game three 115-107 and keep themselves alive in what has fast become the most entertaining and unpredictable of the four first-round playoff ties. Their season still hangs by a thread, though, and will need a repeat of their performance here in game four, which will be on Saturday again in Kitchener.
