NBLC Recap: March 23rd
High-scoring efforts were the order of the day Saturday night in both NBL Canada games.
Denzell Taylor and Marcus Lewis opened with 13 and 10 points respectively for the Moncton Magic, who took an early ten-point lead over the KW Titans and never gave up their advantage over their hosts.
The Titans saw a stand-out performance from Derek Hall, with 23 points and 14 rebounds off the bench, but Moncton were rampant on offence with every player making the score sheet - seven of which reached double digits.
Lewis led all with 24 points at the end, while Taylor finished with 22, as the Moncton Magic defeated the KW Titans 127-103.
A high-scoring game at the Mile One Centre saw Shaquille Keith score 19 points and grab 11 rebounds off the St. John’s Edge bench, but despite that it was a lacklustre show on offence from the Edge.
Their opponents, the Island Storm, put up a powerful scoring show. Guillaume Boucard scored 30 and grabbed 10 total rebounds, while bench players Robbie Robinson and Malik Story added 30 and 22 points respectively. In the end, they ran out winners over the Central Division leaders by 128 points to 103.
