NBLC Recap: February 6th

Wednesday in the NBL Canada saw two very different games, but plenty of excitement in each.

The Moncton Magic were in control early on during their visit to the Harbour Station - behind Billy White's first half showing of 22 points and 8 rebounds (on his way to 28 points and 12 rebounds at the end), they led the Saint John Riptide by twenty points at the end of the first half.

Brent Arrington and Frank Bartley responded big time for the Riptide, between them putting up 24 of the team's 37 points in the third, while Bryce Washington contributed 10 point and 18 rebounds off the bench. Saint John took the lead after fifteen unanswered points and kept up the pressure on both ends to prevent any chance of a comeback from Moncton. The Riptide finished on top by 90 points to 83.

The Windsor Express took a commanding lead over the London Lightning after closing out the first quarter with nine unanswered points, and with continued accuracy from both inside the arc (Finishing 57% shooting from the field) and outside (Making 13 total three-point shots), they led by 23 points at half time.

London contested every loose ball and saw 19 points from Mo Bolden, 16 from Kevin Ware and 13 from Josiah Moore off the bench, but found themselves facing a bigger and bigger mountain to climb. With Juan Pattillo putting up 27 points and 9 rebounds, Tyrrell Tate contributing 22 himself and 46 points coming from their bench, Windsor's margin kept growing as the game wound down, with the final score 121-88 in their favour.
