NBLC Recap: February 4th

Another exciting night in the NBL Canada with plenty of high-scoring performances - and there was only one game on:

St. John's Edge's free-throw shooting was all that could separate them and the Cape Breton Highlanders in the first half at the Centre 200. Putting together a number of scoring runs in the third helped the Edge seize on their advantage and take their biggest lead of the game at nine points.

Deshaunt Walker and Bruce Massey helped close the gap for the Highlanders down the stretch - making it a one-point game on a number of occasions. Glen Davis and Junior Cadougan both came to St. John's rescue, putting up the last of their respective 26 and 20 points in the game, and seeing out the win for the Edge by 105-100.

Bruce Massey led all on the floor with 36 points, but even that could not salvage the game for the Highlanders. Meanwhile, his team mate Jamal Reynolds was one rebound shy of a double-double off the bench (15 points, 9 rebounds) and on the other side Carl English notched up 16 points and 10 rebounds.
