From Amhearst, New Hampshire

Devin Gilligan has not been playing professional basketball for long, but given his showings so far in his debut NBL Canada season, he is quickly emerging as one of the league's top prospects.

Gilligan averaged 12 points per game in his senior year for Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire, and was also named to the All- New England Preparatory School Athletic Council team. From here, he joined South Dakotan NCAA Division 2 team Augustana Vikings in 2013.

He then went on to play three seasons with the Southern New Hampshire Penmen, a starter in every game in his junior and senior seasons. In the latter, he averaged 20.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game on 57% field shooting. Among the awards he received his senior year, he was named the 2017 Northeast-10 Player of the Year.

Gilligan then turned professional and was chosen by the Delaware 87ers with the 61st pick in the 2017 NBA G League Draft. However, he instead made his professional debut in Sweden for Nassjo, finishing the season with 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 51% from the field.

In 2018, his second year as a professional, saw joined the Sudbury Five. Initially a rotation player, Gilligan's reliable early performances and consistent high numbers have started to earn him more and more playing time as the season progresses. If he keeps this up, a bright future in basketball will certainly await him.
