NBLC Recap: January 5th

Saturday saw only a single game, but one with enough action, excitement and individual heroics for five:

A strong early showing from the KW Titans buoyed them to lead the Windsor Express after a back-and-forth start to the game. With Derek Hall leading the Titans with 20 points, and Flenard Whitfield recording 18 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, they went sixteen points in front in the fourth quarter.

With Windsor seeing an amazing performance from Juan Pattillo - who finished with 35 points and 15 rebounds - they made it a one-point game with little over 30 seconds left. Ed Horton drew a foul and made two decisive free-throws for the Titans, who then prevented a last-second attempt at a game-winner from Windsor’s Ryan Anderson.

KW's 118-116 win, their fourth straight success, sees them remain second in the Central Division, while Windsor saw their win streak come to an end, and will have to wait another day to try and leap off the floor of the table.
