Fan favourite Adam Blazek makes a welcome return to the NBL Canada, now with an improved game following big success overseas.

The stand-out player for Cathedral Prep High School, in 2011 Blazek went on to play as the starting point guard for the NCAA Division 2 team Gannon Golden Knights. The team's starting point guard, in four seasons he averaged 14.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He was the Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference West 2014 Player of the Year and won three conference honours.

In his debut professional season, Blazek started in 18 out of 41 games for the Niagara River Lions. Then, having joined the KW Titans for the 2016-17 NBL Canada season, he started in every game and finished the season having averaged 14.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Titans.

Blazek then played outside of Canada for the first time in 2017, joining Rustavi in the Georgia Super Liga. With Rustavi, he averaged a career-best 17.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.6 steals per game. Leading the team to a fourth place league finish and filling the stat sheet each game, he earned the league's MVP award.

Where do you go from there? In Blazek's case, back to the NBL Canada. This season his skills and abilities will now be at the disposal of the Sudbury Five.
