Know Your Team: Anthony Ottley Jr

Windsor Express

In the Windsor Express, Anthony Ottley Jr has found a new home, one where his hard work and dedication to basketball is being rewarded.

Ottley played at college level for Kilgore in Texas and for two teams in Canada: the Trinity Western Spartans and the Durham Lords, for whom he averaged 26 points in one season, the highest of any player in the country that season. He then spent five years playing with the Red Deer Kings in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association.

In his first professional season (2016-17), he was on the books of both the KW Titans and Niagara River Lions, but didn’t see much playing time with either. The following season he signed with the Express, where he appeared in 42 games. He averaged 4.3 points per game, but excelled most in rebounding, averaging 3.0 total boards in the season.

Making him a member of their starting lineup this season, Windsor obviously see potential in Ottley, and giving more playing time to the 27 year-old will only see his game improve.
