Know Your Team: Jahii Carson

One of the biggest names to return to the NBL Canada in the 2018-19 season, everyone will be hoping Jahii Carson's second outing will be as successful and spectacular as the first.

Talented from a young age, Carson was named to second Parade All-American Team while playing for Mesa High School in Arizona. From there, he joined the NCAA Division 1 team the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2011.

Carson was a consistent all-around player as the Sun Devils' starting point guard, averaging 18.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists pet game. He was named PAC-12 conference Co-Freshman of the Year (with Shabazz Muhammed) and to the conference team in both his seasons with Arizona State.

Carson turned professional in 2014. He first played for the Houston Rockets in the 2014 NBA Orlando Summer League, where he lead the team with 18 points against the Philadelphia 76ers:

He played his first professional season for Illawarra Hawks in the Australian NBL, where he finished the season averaging 14.5 points per game. After brief stints in Serbia and Turkey, he joined the Island Storm for the 2016-17 NBL Canada season. He started in all 50 games and finished the season with a career-best average of 21.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.8 assists, as well as reaching Atlantic Division finals, where the Storm were eliminated by eventual champions Halifax.

After another successful season abroad - this time in Greece, where he started in 24 games for Koroivos and averaged 13.5 points per game - he now brings all his all-around skills back to Canada, having signed with the Moncton Magic for the 2018-19 season.
