A strong and powerful presence both on offence and defence, Kenny Jones makes a welcome return to NBL Canada in 2018.

Early on, Jones played for NCAA Division 2 team the Kentucky State Thoroughbreds for four years, and was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference MVP in his 2008 senior season.

He remained in Kentucky, where he spent his first two professional years playing in minor leagues - winning the American Basketball Association league title in his debut season with the Kentucky Bisons. He then moved on to Germany to play for the Dachau Spurs in the 2011-12 season.

Jones first came to the NBL Canada in 2013, beginning the first of his two stints with the Saint John Mill Rats. In his first season with Saint John he averaged 22.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and in the second his end-of-season averages were 20.1 points and 6.0 rebounds. He was scoring champion of the 2014-15 NBLC season and was named to the All-NBLC second team.

Before, after, and in between the time he has already spent in Canada, he played exclusively in Central and South America. This included three teams in Mexico, as well San Fernando in Chile and in Argentina for Cordoba and, most recently, Hindu Club in Greater Buenos Aries. He received numerous awards during his time south of the border.

His time in Argentina at an end, Jones will now begin his third stint in NBL Canada, where this time he will be bringing his talents and benefit of his experience to the Cape Breton Highlanders.
