Know Your Team: Tramar Sutherland

KW Titans

6’4

Guard

From Toronto, Ontario

Having honed his skills and abilities with three different NBL Canada teams, Tramar Sutherland enters what will be his fifth season at the very top of his game.

Sutherland was named twice to the WJCAC All-Defensive Team with the South Plains Texans, where he was also a finalist for the school's athlete of the year award. After two years in South Plains he made the move to the Little Rock Trojans.

In 2011 he made it to the First Four phase of the NCAA Division 1 Championship, but the Trojans did not make it to the competition proper, losing to Asheville 81-77 in overtime. The following season, he helped the Trojans to their division wins record.

Sutherland joined his first professional team, the Moncton Miracles, in 2014. He stayed in NBL Canada the following season, joining the Niagara River Lions, and he then made the move to the KW Titans the season after. He made the division semi-finals in each of his first three NBLC seasons.

He remained with the Titans for the 2017-18 season, where he became part of the starting lineup and averaged a career-best 13.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Of all teams in the season, his three-point shooting percentage was also one of the league's best. However, it wasn't enough to lift the Titans to the playoffs.

Having seen his growth since joining the team, as well as the numbers he has already put up for the team, the Titans have retained Sutherland for a third season - where they hope he can help get KW back to winning ways.
