Know Your Team: Corey Allmond

Moncton Magic

6'1

Guard

From Oxon Hill, Maryland

Multi-talented Corey Allmond's basketball journey has been varied and impressive, and in 2018 he will add to it a third season in NBL Canada.

Averaging 26.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in his final year with Gwynne Park, Allmond went on to an illustrious time in Big Spring, Texas, with the Howard College Hawks. He was named to the conference team, shot over 50% from the field and was second in NJCAA Division 1 three-point shooting.

He then transferred to the Sam Houston State Bearcats, where he hit the ground running, regularly putting up double-digit scoring performances and became a consistent and dependable long-range shooter. He averaged 15.6 points per game in two seasons with the Bearcats.

Allmond began his professional career in the NBA D-League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, he averaged 15.5 points per game in second season. He then moved on to play in China for Shenyang Dongjin, Sale in Morocco and in Turkey for Manisa.

He then spent two seasons playing in the USA, with the Maine Red Claws in the D-League and the PBL (Premier Basketball League) side Rochester Razorsharks. Allmond first played in NBL Canada in 2015, when he joined the Saint John Mill Rats. He averaged 16.1 points per game and the team made it to the Atlantic division semi finals

In 2016 he played his second season with Rochester, winning his second PBL championship. He then signed with the Moncton Magic the following season, and became the NBL Canada's leading three-point shooter in the 2017/18 season, as well as finishing in the top twenty in points and steals.

Whenever and wherever he plays, Corey Allmond has never failed to disappoint, and there's little to say that the 2018-19 season will be an exception.
