A reliable, all-around offence man, Junior Cadougan is one of the NBL Canada's most decorated and widely-experienced native players whose stock in the league quickly rose to see him become one of its biggest stars.

Cadougan attended the former school of DeAndre Jordan and Ben McLemore, Christian Life Center Academy in Kingwood, Texas. There, averaging 22 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds per game in his senior year, he led his team to the National Association of Christian Athletes Elite Division 1 national championship. In addition, he also played in the Reebok All-American game and was a top 50 high school prospect of Scout.com.

In 2009, he began his four-year tenure with the Marquette Golden Eagles in Milwaukee, during which he played alongside notable names such as Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder, Vander Blue and Trent Lockett. A starter in his last two years, Cadougan appeared in four consecutive NCAA Division 1 championships, reaching the Elite Eight in his senior year. He finished with final career averages of 5.6 points and 3.8 assists per game for Marquette.

After playing for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013 NBA Summer League, Cadougan began his career proper in the Georgian Superliga with Batumi. Starting in every game, he finished the season on 20.7 points, 6.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game. From here, he moved on to play in Italy for Felice Scandone and in Greece for Trikala.

Cadougan first joined the NBL Canada in 2016, when he signed with the London Lightning. Starting in all but three games in the season, he finished averaging 8.0 points and 4.1 assists, his part in London's record third league championship. He returned to London the following season, but left part-way through.

A highly sought-after free agent, Cadougan's services were then secured by the St. John's Edge in 2018. From playing a supporting role in London, he would be St. John's starting point guard and finished the season averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. On February 12th 2019, Cadougan posted career-best single game score of 39 points against the Moncton Magic.

In just their second season, the Edge would make it to the NBLC Finals, but lost out to the Magic. Cadougan, though, would secure the league's Most Improved Player title and spots on the All-NBLC and All-Canadian teams. Re-signing with the Edge for the following season, he started in all twenty games and improved on all his averages of the following season: 14.7 points, 4.9 assists, 4.0 rebounds. Once again, Cadougan was named to the All-NBLC and All-Canadian teams.

Outside of league basketball, Cadougan had made regular appearances for the Canadian national team. From leading the scoring for the Under-18 side at the 2006 FIBA Americas tournament, he went on to play at the 2013 and 2017 AmeriCup, as well as winning the silver medal with Canada at the 2015 Pan American Games.
